Network (LAN). Information can be centralized for all to access, or for only
certain people to access. Business data is more accurate when there is only
one database that can be accessed by all users. Productivity is higher when
information can be quickly shared about projects, customers, orders, etc.

There are many ways to enable remote access for mobile employees. Virtual Private Networks (VPN) provides data security with encryption. Terminal services provides low bandwidth use of an office virtual PC. Voice over IP (VoIP) provides office telephone services to remote areas.
